He is in our hearts

My Dears
Tears express pain, agony and lonliness. Tears can express joy too. In totality, tears express our various emotions. Tears, well spent, removes the clouds of our mind, like the blue sky after a good rain. It allows the sun, which is our intellect, to peep through into life again. Once the tears are well spent, it is time to be real. After the rain, the sun must shine again. This is the law of nature. Sun has always been there. But, while the clouds of emotions obscured them, it remained invisible. Just be aware of that.
When has an avatar left us? Has Lord Krishna existed from our plane of existence? He is very much here. Have Jesus, Buddha or Rama left us? Physical form has only represented expressions or experiences. It is temporary and situational. The truth that they conveyed is eternal. It is imperishable. This is the truth of our existence and this is the truth that we must know. Their religion has been Love. Teachings have been the same. Expressions were different, because the society they addressed had been different. Mostly, their own life was their teaching, more than verbal or literary teachings. This is also why, sometimes they and their teachings are mis-interpreted or mis-represented. So, no incarnation and none of their teachings have left our plane of existence. This is a fundamental truth.
All Gurus are one. All masters are one. All appeared for a clear dharmic purpose of leading people towards liberation. All came to bring light into ignorance and associated darkness. All lived for the sake of others. For them, life and death are insignificant. Criticism or applause are insignificant. Out of many flowers that bloom in the tree of existence, some becomes fruits. Every flower will not become fruit. Only some walks the path till the end. Many fall off, during their journey of life. Gurus are compassionate. They allow the rise and fall disciples. They never impose anything. They allow their nature to express freely. Gurus continue to show light, whether they are in their body or not. The eternal principle of Guru (Guru Tattwa) eternally flows.
Mind stuck in the past means agony in the present. Mind must travel with time, the present time. Mind must remain in the present and intellect should remain free and available. When intellect is locked up, tragedies happen in life. When emotions rule, tragedies take place. It is important to keep the mind with the body, in the present.
All those who existed with us in the past has added value to our existence. We must be grateful towards them. Especially so, if it is an Avatar. An Avatar is eternal. It has no birth or death. It’s existence is purpose bound. The best way to connect to an Avatar is to connect to His/Her teachings, consume it slowly, digest it properly and LIVE IT truthfully. A sadguru needs nothing from anyone. If their teachings are useful to generations, they are pleased. if they are not useful or understood, they are not sad. Everything is fine for a sadguru. They are never bound by their own image.
Look at your past and all the people of past, including all those whom you considered as your Gurus, with gratitude and reverance. Remain in the present. Act in the present. Love those around you today and enjoy their presence in your life. Companionships are often temporary, just like relationships. Do not lose your present. Cherish your present. Enjoy every bit of it. Be grateful for every moment. Be grateful for everything. Do not lose focus on the present, including its people, by lingering in the past. All you have for yourself is your NOW.
The sun must continue to shine. When sun fails, the earth and all its beings perish. When nature revolts, destruction happens. When our individual nature revolts, emotions wreak havoc and destruction happens in our individual life. We are well connected to nature. We are reflecting the nature.
Think of the past with gratitude and not regret or guilt. Accept the present with gratitude. Act in the present using intellect. Honor the sadgurus of the past and present and LIVE their teachings. Then, their time on earth becomes worthwhile. No sadguru has left us. They live through their teachings. They live through those who lives their teachings.
Gratitude…thats all you need. If you connect to their consciousness, through their teachings, you arrive at the hands of GOD.
Love YOU

Why should we live in the present?

Q&A with Mohanji

Why do we think about the Past, Concerns about the future and forget to live in the Present ?
Thinking about the Past is not wrong since we have examples of how past information avoided world war 3. Concerns about the future is also not a sin because that may have an element of future goodness in that. But why and how we can live in the PRESENT? Every moment we live are connected by a past (GOOD OR BAD) which infact is not there, and a future which again we are not sure about. So what is PRESENT? Does it not have its own identity?

Thinking about the past is the nature of the conscious mind. It keeps oscillating between past and the future, refusing to stay in the present. This can be minimized only through awareness or witness consciousness. Being a witness to your own thought process will help in keeping the mind in the present. The usual reason for energy loss and resulting tiredness is the same thing. Mind uses much more energy than the body uses. It tires the man.

There is no absolute right or wrong. Mind constantly takes references from the past to handle the present. For example, a boy who slipped and fell in the rain, could always have that memory and related fear. Sometimes,a news paper report about an air crash could give an impact to the reader which could develop into the fear of flying. So, impressions that we store into our sub-conscious mind will cause us such realties. Taking reference from the past is being done, whether we like it or not. The only problem is carrying the garbage from the past and refusing to throw them away. Garbage need to be trashed. If not trashed, it affects the man. The guilt that we carry from the past is the problem. It is not a sin. Sins does not exist. If at all it exists, according to me, the biggest sin is not understanding your true nature could be considered as a sin; because one life time got wasted for nothing. Or one life time was spent in ignorance.

Past is dead. You cannot go back and change anything in the past. So, leave the dead. Future is still unborn. You have only the NOW, to perform. This is the Present, the gift, from relativity. When you sleep at night, there is no past, present or future. Its all one. So, past, present and future exists only during waking hours or conscious mind. Be aware of that. When you exist in the present, when your mind stays with your current activity, there is limited energy loss. It is very minimal. It helps save energy. Save Energy, Save life. It means, the lesser the energy you spend, more you have in your possession. This keeps you fresh. This is why people say, that if you love your profession and always feel inclined to go for work, without any other consideration or pressure, you will never be tired.

So, understand that nothing is a sin. Mind does oscillate between past and future. It also nurtures guilt from the past and fear.of the unknown or future, which saps away energy. It also creates tremendous anxiety. So, the remedy is in being in the present. Mind should be present with all activities. This saves energy and also saves you from guilt and fear. You need to practice this only during waking hours, because, while sleeping, anyway, the time does not exist for you. You have to wake up to be aware of the time.

God Bless All

Bundle of complexes

I am a bundle of complexes. I do not know what can I give up and how, in order to unburden me and keep my spirituality in progress. Can you please guide?

Who is not a bundle of complexes? All humans are. So, do not worry about that. Being aware of the complexes itself is a big step towards spiritual awakening. How can you give up anything? By giving up there will be a vacuum. Hence giving up, deliberately is not a good idea. Moving on to something of higher, more satwic nature is better. Then, all what you want to give up, will drop off. This also applies to addictions. Forceful de-addictions without providing alternatives are not the right method. Diverting time onto more noble activities are the best way to move higher. When the lower automatically drops, its usually for good, unless, the vasana (inherent trait) for that particular activity has not yet died down completely. So, be happy that you have acquired awareness. Be happy that you have recognized your own nature. Now, start walking the path. Never stop to ponder, Walk with faith and determination. You will certainly reach your desired destination.

Is it true that Divine bodies or higher souls from other zones take birth on earth plane and get caught up in its birth and death cycle?

It is true. The reason is usually terrestrial relationship. Even though they are born objective, they will not be able to be objective always, in their chosen physical form. They become subjective and subjectivity sucks them to the quagmire of birth and death. Yet, their linkage to the higher will usually be strong. They would be very  intuitive. They would also be linked to their original plane of existence. Even their guardian angels will be watching over them. You can see them usually self-less and often a misfit in this society. They could also be made fools of or cheated by others. They spiritually evolve faster than the usual humans. They could also be seen changing paths effortlessly. They could drop everything and embark on a new thing without regrets or looking back. This shows their detachment to terrestrial matters.

There are masters taking birth for a few years. They would be distinctly different. You can see many terrestrial masters who walked the earth and currently walking the earth. They are genuinely high and they are never caught up in the usual birth – death cycle. Usually, when such high souls come to earth, many other souls also take bodies to aid them. Just like the entire army Rama including Hanumanji and Sugreeva, have all been great souls coinciding their terrestrial entry to aid an avatar.

Thus, there are many permutation combinations. It is advisable to not to get into intellectual stuff too much. Because, its very difficult to get out of intellectual comfort zone. We develop ego and pride. “A person who is proud of his intellect is like a prisoner who is proud of his prison cell.” – Said Fr.Anthony Demello.

Who is a sadguru?

The one who is like a road sign, who never expects anything from the user. The one who is like a flowing river, who nourishes the entire land unconditionally. Gives water to everyone, irrespective of his caste, creed or color. One who is like the rain, that showers his grace on all alike. One who leads a dispassionate existence, detached from the lures of the terrestrial world. One who does not glorify himself. One who maintains equanimity in happiness and sorrow. One who gives all that he has and never hoards anything. One who does not sow or reap, karmically. One who is above all emotions, but, feels for all. One who gives what each disciple needs, exactly according to the disciple’s capacity and requirement, expecting nothing out of him.

Sadguru is a state. Baba and Babaji are one. Krishna and Rama are one. Buddha and Jesus are one. Forms are plenty. Mind is the same. They appear time after time, to impart knowledge and guidance and depart as easily as they came. They never look back. Applause and brickbats are the same for them. They do their mission objectively.

Respect yourself

Q&A with Mohanji

Respect your constitution. This is fundamental. You are a unique being. There is nobody else like you,in exactly your vibratory level and constitution. Understand your own constitution in three levels. Physical, Emotional and Intellectual.

Physical – I am what I am. I cannot change into another’s shape and there is no need to change too. I am unique. This is the fundamental acceptance that we must create within ourselves. The height, color, shape, and all aspects of our physical constitution has been part of our agenda for this existence and in this life. We did not choose this consciously. Yet, all the variety of data that we fed into our own sub-conscious mind created this shape or physique. If you deny and are unhappy about your own physical form, you are denying your own creation. Whether you are beautiful or not-so-beautiful, whether you are tall or short, whether you are fat or slim, whether you are black or white. You are what you are. Accept what ever you are, as it is. There is nothing to compare with another. Comparisons are futile. Acceptance of your own physical constitution is the first step towards finding peace in this existence.

Emotional – Emotional constitution also is created by you. You are what you are. There are none exactly alike. There could be similar, but not alike. Accepting the emotional body as normal and accepting it as part of your constitution is essential too.If you cannot come into terms with the nature of your own emotions, peace will elude you. What ever your emotional nature is, accept it as it is. This is the way I am and I am happy with my way. The more you resist to your own inherent nature, you will suffer more.  In order to understand your emotional nature or your nature of emotions, you must observe your response patterns closely, over a period of time. The pattern in which you are responding in this world. An external observation by somebody else or external comments by someone will not help you here because they are given by another person, and hence could be biased. You must observe yourself. Recognize your own emotional patterns over time. Understand this is the way you are responding in this world.Accept that whole-heartedly, as gift of the Almighty. You will be peaceful. The observation of your own emotional pattern will also identify flaws in the pattern, such as lethargy, tendency to delay things, over reaction for the sake of protection, desire for attention and sympathy, anxieties, fears etc. Then it is easy to handle them and correct them in the future. If diagnosis is perfect, treatment is simple.

Intellectual – Right from childhood, a child is subject to comparisons on intellectual competency. The average child undergoes tremendous pressures that affects his self-esteem. Acceptance of intellectual levels, is fundamental. All are different. Variety is the core of the terrestrial existence. There are none higher or lower in any way. Flavours are different. Life patterns are different and so are lifestyles. We must accept our IQ level as it is and should never compare with another. Comparisons leads to agony and feeling of inadequacy. We always compare ourselves with someone who is relatively superior. This creates jealousy and unrest. Hence, it does not matter whether our intellectual capacity is the best. It only matters whether it is useful for your current existence. The current intellect that you possess is what you had demanded, when you came into this life, from the past life. So, after taking birth and after comparing a lot by yourself, your family members or even your teachers, if you come into a conclusion that this IQ level is inadequate, it only means that you are dissatsfied with yourself and in a way it is utter nonsense. You cannot move on that way. You have to understand that there is nothing to compare. Everyone has his inadequacies. Everyone is an individual with essentially unique constitution or pattern. You are simiiar. Just accept that. Be peaceful.

Finally, the set of impressions that created karma and that created a new life for you, are exclusively  your own. Nobody imposed anything on you. You were living a life, which had a set of relatives, a set of friends, a place of action and a physical, mental and intellectual constitution to facilitate your existence and actions. You lived that life and collected various impressions (just like you are doing now) and what ever you could not satisfactorily fulfil, you brought forward into a new life. The soul has been the same. The impressions were carried forward. The new pattern was created according to what you wanted to achieve or exhaust in this life. Accept that first before you attempt any changes. The events in your life were according to the available impressions in your sub-conscious mind, brought from your past lives. You could not see its existence, as data stored in your hard-drive stays invisible, unless brought to the screen of life. Hence you could not truly understand the pattern of events that happened in your life and why.  Every thought, word, or action had a root. They all were provoked by the inherent desires. Some are carried forward from other lives and some are acquired in this life.

All these are collectively called your personal constitution. Respect that constitution first. Observe it very closely as a witness. Understand yourself first and stop comparing with another. Once you start respecting and honoring your own constitution, there will not be any internal conflicts. Internally you will be at peace. External peace automatically happens.

Resistance to any aspects of yourself, will lead to agony and suffering. And you will not know the reason why you are suffering. Internal unrest will overflow as anger, jealousy and hatred. You will carve your own hell. You will suffer and many others will suffer. Hence, take the time and understand your own constitution. Respect it. Observe it closely and correct whet ever you want to correct, subtly and gradually.

Bless the World Meditation

You are not your body, your mind or intellect. You are not your senses and organs of action or organs of perception. You are not what your body and any of your internal or external organs that you are made up of. You are not your thoughts or your mind. You are not your name or your fame. All these are matters that you have acquired in this life. You are the Soul or the electricity that runs all these equipments. You are the pure spirit. You have taken this body along with all its attachments for experiencing what ever you wanted to experience. Yet, the experience is not you. Neither are you the experienced. You are the spark that gave life to every material objects. You are that. Pure and eternal.

Panchagni – Five Fires

(Q&A with Mohanji)

The fire is the eternal purifier. All other elements are prone to
contamination, except fire. Fire burns everything and converts them into
ashes. Water, earth or air can be contaminated, while fire cannot be.
Cleansing by fire is considered to be much more powerful and effective than
cleansing by water. This is why along with offerings of various materials
for various deities, the effect of cleansing with fire through their aura
was experienced by people who performs fire rituals such as Agni hotra,
Yajna or Yaga. Fire is the element that helps our digestion too. (I am born in the fire of passion) Fire is also associated as the cause for emotions such as Anger,
passion,greed etc.

Panchagni literally means five fires. People used to do repentance (Prayaschitta) or cleansing through five fires; four fires lit by us and the Sun as the fifth.. This means endurance and cleansing the conscience. Agni is the link between heaven and earth. The Mooladhara chakra that signifies the earth and the Sahasrara chakra, that signifies heaven is linked through Agni. Agni or fire always has its flames upwards. This is the motion of kundalini energy also. Kundalini energy when it goes through the fire of Agni, gets elevated to Sahasrara.

Agni burns everything that comes its way and elavates them or moves them upwards. Only ash remains on the earth. Ash represents elements or gross in this context. Sita, the Sakti element, went through agni pariksha (test by fire) before
she got united with Rama, the pure consciousness. Thus, Sakti or Sita who
was tested and tempted by ten headed Raavan (indicative of the five Jnanendriyas and five karmendriyas (five senses or perception and five senses of action – thus 10 heads of our daily temptation), had to cleanse herself in fire before she could reach Rama, the pure consciousness. Similarly, gross needs to be purified in fire to attain the pure energy. Kundalini rising up to Sahasrara, and Sita attaining Rama are all the same in this context. Pure consciousness did not come down. Sakti had to go up and meet Rama and heavy cleansing must occur before that meeting can happen.

The fundamental need for performing fire purification is Faith. Faith is the
key. Faith intensifies purification. Faith will create Devotion. Unfailing
devotion. This makes the transit easy for Sita to reach Rama. The elevation
also means elevation in Gunas. Tamas goes through Rajas and becomes Satwa.
Thus elimination of Tamas and attainment of Satwa through an action which is
Rajas can be compared to Ravana – the dark element Tamas, Sita the seeker and Rama then sought fire as the vehicle. Sita got released from the clutches of Ravana – kundalini gets liberated through sadhana and moves up through sushumna.  Fire purifies Sita and Rama who has no Gunas, accepts Sita.

Kundalini Sakti transcends Gunas and attains Shiva, the pure consciousness. This means Moksha, salvation. Thus “Tamaso Ma Jyothirgamaya” ( From darkness to brightness) or from bondage to liberation is the same matter. Tamas is darkness or inertia. Light is liberation or Satwa Guna or even a state with no Gunas. Elevation is the key.

Manipura Chakra is the seat of Agni Tattwa. This is why we say Agni is in the Middle. This is the same agni that aids digestion of food etc. When Kundalini Sakti moves up through Manipura, located at the stomach centre, its purification through agni takes place. This is why, we often do the intense humming or AUM chanting based on Stomach centre, before meditation. This intensifies the agni element in the seeker. This helps purification faster. Cleansing becomes more powerful. Kundalini has to break through the Agni and
reach Sahasrara or go back to its old form.

Hanumanji burned the prestigious Lanka of Ravan. He infact burned the ego of
Ravan. When ego is hurt the immediate reaction is violence. The mind becomes
violent. When mind becomes vioent, buddhi or vivek (intellect or wisdom) disappears. Ego and emotion destroys the man. The same destroyed Raavan. Hanuman’s power was unfailing devotion to pure consciousness, Rama. Sita was
also craving to achieve Rama. Again, Agni played his role. We can even say that Agni became the  the vehicle of Hanuman.

Ego torments a saint to some extent , even in Savikalpa Samadhi state. It keeps tormenting till he attains Nirvikalpa Samadhi state. Some saints opt for Panchagni Meditation to overcome this aspect of terrestrial binding. In Kathopanishad, Yama attributes three fold fire to Nachiketas, in recognition of his sincere seekership. They are Dhyaan (Meditation) , Daan (Charity) and Tapas (Austerity).

So, panchagni is four fires lit plus the fre from one sun. This is a test for purification. This is conducted either in Uttaraayan (Makar-Sankranti – Mid January) or Dashinaayan (Karka Sankranti- Mid July). The panchagni or five external fires is used for cleaning five internal fires such as passion, anger, greed, attachment and jealousy. The purpose is praayaschittha – repentance. This is also called Pashupati Vratha, dedicated to the supreme saint Shiva. The panchagni during Uttaraayan triggers light and liberation for the soul. Dakshinaayan denotes rebirth and return to life on earth. Uttaraayan helps the soul to leave the terrestrial clutches and hence the Great Bhishma chose his exit at that time. Trust this is clear.

Sleep of the Father

Q&A with Mohanji

The father is sleeping. Sleeping in absolute awareness. In His sleep, there are no dreams. There is only awareness. Everything happens within his realm of sleep. There is nothing beyond his realm of sleep. Everything is within. There is nothing external.
The son also sleeps. He never interferes with anything. In his blissful sleep, in the realm of the father, he aids experiences. The father experiences everything, as a witness. Only his acquired mouth walks and talks. He sleeps. Perfect beingness of the soul. There is nothing outside of him. He is bliss and awareness. He aids doingness and enjoys the results of doingness. This is well within the awareness of the father. The awareness of the father and the son are the same. Only the micro and macro difference. The whole universe is the body of the father. What is beyond the universe is also the body of the father. This body is consciousness. There is nothing outside this consciousness. There is no difference between the son’s consciousness and the father’s consciousness. The son resounds the heart-beat of the father. The son enjoys the beingness, just like the father, while the divine play is on.
The son and father are one – a drop from the ocean resembles the mother ocean. The drop has the same characteristics of the ocean. The son has the same characteristics of the father.
Those who have the eyes to see the son, will also see the father. Those who have seen the father will never see any sons. The father reflects himself in every son.
The father allows doingness as a path to reach his beingness, Yoga Nidra. The son aids the same doingness and eventually gets back home to the realm of the father. The father exists always. He is never born and will never die. Images come forth from him and merge back into him, after the mission is accomplished. MAYA. The father nor the son never stand to prove or disprove anything. They just exist in perfect witness state, in perfect brilliance.
Gross is born out of the father. The son makes it alive. The son is also born out of the father. The father and son enjoy and share the grand collaboration. The father never drops his brilliance in matter and the son never picks up the gross. Elements formed out of the father and the son illuminated it and made it alive. The elements merge back into the father as sheer energy when the show ends.

The Silence

The father is silent. The son is silent too. The silence of beingness. The perfect silence. All encompassing silence. The nature of the father is silence. The nature of the son is silence too. The gross talks and both the son and the father stay unaffected. They watch the show in perfect witness state. They participate in the show just like a catalyst aiding a chemical reaction. All the sounds are within the father and the father stays unaffected. All the sounds happen due to the son and the son is never affected with the sounds that he has created. The sounds are gross and the father is subtle. The sounds happen through the father. Neither the father nor the son take ownership of any sound.
The silence of the father is eternal. The silence of the son is evolutionary. When the son becomes the silence, when the external sounds also become the silence, the son becomes one with the father. The father remains unaffected whether the son merges into His brilliance or not. The son remains unaffected with the sound of the equipment that he wore time to time. He makes the equipment function, without any attachment to any of it, at any time. He remains unattached to the machine, product or existence. He remains unattached to the gross as well as subtle and remains always in His father’s awareness. The father sees himself in His son. The son sees himself in the father. It is only brilliance. No shape, no gross, no acquired happiness, no sorrows, no doingness, no anxieties, fears, just bliss and bliss alone.
The father never over rules any decision of the son. The son never over rules any decision of the gross that he aids. The father stays a mirror image of the son and the son stays as a mirror image of the father. They mirror each other. They express the same character. The father and son maintain a perfect communion which the gross cannot understand. Gross is heavy. The son is light. Gross consists of elements. The son consists of pure energy. The father is brilliant. The son is brilliant too. The son sleeps within the father and the father expresses Himself through His son.

God Bless All
